The meaning of the word "Nothing"
Nothing. When you say you're doing nothing, you're doing something. You can be breathing or blinking or sitting. And nothing is something in it's self. I think the word "Nothing" is a lie. What about you? WAITING!

Re: The meaning of the word "Nothing"
I don't think it is possible to do nothing, unless you are dead. But still, you are doing being dead.
So, really, you are always doing something, and even if you are doing nothing, doing nothing is something. Yet, that doesn't mean something is nothing.

If nothing is a word, then nothing is a lie. Nothing has letters and is a word. Can we all agree that the word "Nothing" is a lie?

I know that I can believe this. Even if you aren't moving at all, your body is still working, so you are doing something, which is called living.

Philosophical Meaning of "nothing"
"Nothing" is to be free from burden. "Nothing" is to feel no pain and relief, no sorrow and happiness, only contemplation of the vacuum in space; which is to also say, "Nothing".
"Nothing" is the living dead, unmoving, not sitting, standing, or anything.
This is "Nothing" to me.

Then you are doing the thing called being non-existant.
Re: The meaning of the word "Nothing"
Nothing doesn’t always mean “doing nothing”
You can eat nothing
You can eat nothing

If you can eat nothing, then what is the "nothing" you are eating?

Re: The meaning of the word "Nothing"
You are not eating anything, which is just the thing. It doesn’t mean you never eat, just that you did not eat then or did not eat for that period of time. To ask me the nothing that I ate is like asking me which air did I breathe.

You are right, but you are still doing things without eating.

Eating nothing doesn’t imply doing nothing.
It means not eating.
It means not eating.

Re: The meaning of the word "Nothing"
Eventually, the universe actually ends, and beyond it is an emptiness that goes on for all eternity. No stars, no asteroids, no planets, no nebulae, nothing. Absolutely nothing.
THAT is the definition of Nothing. And I didn't make that up.
